goslyn™ Exceeds Industry Standards!
The goslyn™ Model GOS80 Grease Recovery Device achieved astonishing results in the recent NSF certification testing. The industry standard allows for up to 5% water in the discharged oil and requires that 33% of the 75 pounds of grease introduced into a grease recovery device be captured. The goslyn™ only allowed 0.3% water into the recovered oil and collected an incredible 74 of the 75 pounds of grease.
Efficiency of Grease Removal: 98.7%
Effectiveness of Grease Separation: 99.7%

goslyn™ Impact on Renewable Energy
A 1998 study of urban waste grease for 30 metropolitan cities in the United States, sponsored by the US Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) found that the average restaurant generates 9,453 lbs per year of “brown grease” in the waste effluent stream and 6,268 lbs per year of “yellow grease” as used oil from fryers.
The yellow grease has higher value as it can be used as to produce animal feedstock or bio-diesel fuel. The brown grease can only be used to produce bio-diesel and at a greater cost than yellow grease.
The goslyn™ grease recovery device captures the grease from a restaurant’s effluent stream before it enters the drains. This grease can be added to the yellow grease from fryers thus enhancing its value as a raw material as well as eliminating the cost of emptying the grease traps or periodically cleaning out the sewer system if grease traps are not being used.
